Our aim in the vineyard is to grow the best fruit we can so it can speak of its home and express its personality. To do this you need healthy vines and soil. By practicing organics and incorporating some biodynamic principles we believe we are doing our best to help achieve this and let our vineyards evolve and speak as they would like.
The grapes were hand harvested, sorted and whole bunch pressed. The juice was settled for 24 hours and transferred into a mix of 500 L and 225 L oak barrels where it went thru an indigenous fermentation. The wine was matured on full ferment lees and underwent malolactic fermentation in spring. After 11 months in oak it was lightly fined with organic milk and bottled in April 2019.
Nectarine, lemon curd and soft walnut aromas on the nose. The palate fills with stone fruit and sweet pear flavours with a touch of vanilla and a persistent line of acidity.

Certified organic, the 2018 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Rapaura and matured for 11 months in one barrique and one puncheon. Pale lemon/green, it has a fragrant, slightly biscuity and creamy bouquet. Mouthfilling and fresh, it is still very youthful, with good concentration of citrusy, peachy flavours, mealy, nutty notes adding complexity, balanced acidity and obvious cellaring potential; best drinking 2021+. 4.5* Michael Cooper
