Description
Region: Rapaura, Wairua Plains, Marlborough, New Zealand.
Winemaking: The grapes were machine harvested in the cool morning and the juice was cold settled for 48 hours before being racked. Ten percent of the juice is transferred into 5-year-old barrels and the remainder to stainless steel for fermentation with a range of yeast strains. We aimed for a long, cool fermentation to retain the varietal characteristics and left the wine on fine lees to build palate texture.
Tasting Notes: Sweet nectarine, white peach, and honeysuckle greets you on the nose. Whilst a mellow stone fruit character comes in on the palate with a generous but soft texture.
Technical: Alcohol - 13.0%. TA - 6.3g/l. pH - 3.34g/l. RS - 4.7g/l. Contains sulphites. BioGro certified organic.
Winemaker: Allan McWilliams.
